Quarter Finalists Receive

Semi Finalists Receive

Optimus Business Plans

Brian Gilmore of Optimus Business Plans Brian Gilmore is the owner and Executive Director of Optimus Business Plans. Mr. Gilmore's knowledge base on businesses plans and different industries is impressive, having written business plans for companies in hundreds of diverse industries. He is the face of the company, working directly with clients from the time they call to the delivery of the plan while managing the writing and research throughout the process. With an Entrepreneurship & Strategic Management degree from the University of North Texas and a history of starting his own companies, he is able to share his knowledge of entrepreneurship and successful business practices to ensure Optimus clients receive the same results. Drive Influence

Mel Mitchell of Drive Influence Melerick “Mel” Mitchell is the talent development architect and founder of Drive Influence LLC. Drive Influence focuses on leadership and talent development for individuals, teams, and companies. Before creating Drive Influence, Mel worked for Microsoft for nearly 10 years in roles that included system analyst, program manager, and talent development consultant. As a talent development consultant, Mel managed the Microsoft IT Talent Development Program, which focused on developing the next generation of leaders for Microsoft IT. In that role Mel created, developed, and managed Microsoft IT’s Accelerated Professional Experiences Program (APEX), which was a two-year global rotational program for new college hires. Mel is also committed to serving his community by volunteering, and he has served on several nonprofit boards in Dallas, Seattle, Tucson, and Las Vegas. Currently he serves as the National Professionals Chair-Elect for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Mel has also taught career readiness and leadership workshops for the Technology Access Foundation in Seattle, Dream Jamaica in Kingston, Jamaica, St. Gabriel’s Elementary School in San Fernando, Trinidad, and at Ashesi University in Accra, Ghana. Mel has also worked as an electrical engineer for Bechtel Nevada and Raytheon Missile Systems. Mel holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from Louisiana Tech University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
